DESCRIPTION:MARCH MEETING \nAllison Guyton\nOur speaker for March is Allison Guyton\, a licensed marriage and family therapist who has worked for Calaveras County Behavioral Health for the past eight and a half years and recently opened her own part-time private practice (www.allisonguytonmft.com). \nShe is certified in EMDR and NET. She will be explaining and demonstrating NET (Neuro Emotional Technique) at the next CCWN meeting. NET was originally developed as a stress reduction technique and works to identify and unblock stuck emotions in the body. It can be used for a variety of concerns\, including self-actualization. Allison is working to establish a coaching business where she will offer NET and other systemic kinesiology techniques outside of the practice of therapy itself. DESCRIPTION:Karen Varni \nKaren Varni is retired after 36 years with the County of Calaveras\, the last 20 of which were as the County Clerk-Recorder and Elections Official. This included being the Registrar of Voters\, Registrar of Vital Statistics\, Commissioner of Civil Marriages and Ex-Officio Clerk to the Board of Supervisors. Prior to being elected\, she served as the Clerk-Administrator of the Calaveras County Superior Court\, which also came with many other titles. \nKaren has two sons\, three grandsons\, and daughters-in-law that are the biggest and most important part of her life. Volunteering is something she started as a teenager and has continued as an adult. It was a good job\, but she realized something was missing: passion for what she was doing. A friend introduced her to coaching and soon after she began a new journey in life. She started a 7-month coaching program including over 350 hours of instruction\, practice and coaching. In 2017 Margaret left her state job 3 months after she started the program\, it felt like coming home and she hasn’t looked back since. \nPlease join us.
