August Zoom Meeting

Our August speaker is Debbie Ponte, Executive Director of Destination Angels Camp.

Destination Angels Camp is primarily focused on economic development in the form of business recruitment, assistance, and retention. This friendly, energetic group has worked hard over the years to put incentives in place for locating your business in Angels Camp, and to help promote and otherwise support your business once started.

Former Angels Camp city council member, former city mayor, and vice mayor, and fresh off a four-year term as District 4 supervisor for Calaveras County, Ponte is now executive director of Destination Angels Camp, a public-private partnership with the City of Angels designed to grow businesses, tourism, and jobs in the community.

Would you be willing to purchase a gift certificate for the raffle?

There will even be an online raffle. We encourage you to donate a gift certificate from your own business or for take-out or delivery meals from a local Calaveras restaurant or for a gift certificate from a local merchant. Take a photo of the gift certificate and email it to Mary Phoenix so we can add it to the raffle item page. Check out the prizes from the June meeting.

But hold on to the gift certificates. After the meeting, we will put you in touch with the person who won and you can arrange to send them through the mail, deliver digitally, or arrange for pick up. Try calling a local restaurant and see if you can purchase over the phone and have it waiting for the winner.
