Mona Baroody
Mona Baroody is the provider of this newsletter for CCWN. She is also a community volunteer and business woman.
Mona has lived in Calaveras County for 14 years. She has been a special education and substitute teacher in all of our schools, a volunteer for the Women of the Moose at Ebbetts Pass Lodge holding many community chairs, and was awarded the Red Cross Hero of the Year 2017/2018.
Mona has been dubbed “The Resourceress” by friends in the community, calling on her when ever a resource is needed to help someone; she put this into action in a big way when the Butte Fire (2015) happened. Mona started the non-profit The Hive: a Butte Fire Recovery Center to advocate for the needs of survivors of the disaster, and the recovery of District 2.
Most recently, Mona has started her own business; Artsy Parts is a studio, gallery, learning center, and art supply store, opening in March in Arnold. Are you interested in knowing more about Artsy Parts? Please like her Facebook page, email to get on her newsletter list, and PLEASE take this survey so she can schedule the classes you are interested in!
